This tour is very flexible and can be tailored to your own special interests. The trip (by car from Krakow, of course) is designed to give you a taste of the Polish highlands, a region that has had a romantic hold over the Polish imagination for many generations.

Some of the main attractions in the region - and on the way there - are medieval wooden churches (several churches were listed by UNESCO a year ago and are nothing short of spellbinding) and the town of Zakopane itself, which is nestled at the foot of the Tatra mountains. The latter is literally exploding with popularity. The skiing and hiking are top notch and the nightlife is intense!

The great thing about this trip is the freedom and control that comes natural with having a tailor-made tour. Forget the crowded bus that takes you from point A to point B. Our drivers will take you wherever you want to go! And if you see anything along the way that interests you, all you have to do is ask...

We've provided a few suggestions of how this tour could look, below. Once we get to Zakopane we suggest one of the following:

Option A
Explore one of the many glorious valleys that the Tatra Mountains have to offer. Hiking, walking or just sitting around and taking it all in. Whatever you want! (Time: Anywhere from 2-5 hours)

Option B
Get a bird's eye view of Zakopane and its environs from Gubalowka. Take a rail car up the hill that overshadows all that zaniness on the streets. Besides there are pubs on top as well... (Time: Approx. 1.5 hours)

Option C
Take a horse drawn carriage up to Morskie Oko - the largest lake in the Tatra Mountains. Think: giant body of crystal clear water surrounded by an amphitheater of alpine peaks! What better way to take in the mountain air than in a relaxing jaunt up the alpine ledge - Highlander style! (Time: Approx. 4 hours)

Option D
Ever wondered what it's like to get to 1985 m above sea level and not move a muscle? Now it's possible! Take the cable car to Kasprowy Wierch and see what all the fuss is about! On top you'll enjoy a front-seat view of some of the finest Peaks in the Tatra Mountains. Also, Kasprowy Wierch straddles the Polish-Slovakian border; left foot in one country, right foot in another, with a great view of both. Breathtaking. (Time: Approx. 3.5 hours)

Allow for a whole day for any of these tours. We'll pick you up and drop you off wherever you want in Krakow - at anytime!
