About The Polish Beer Tour
The drink most people associate with Poland, is of course vodka and quite right too, the Poles claim to have invented it and they’ve certainly got a few delicious brands in their icebox. But what is less known is that our Slavic cousins also brew a mighty fine beer, the likes of which their Czech relatives across the border would be proud. Take this lager-lovers tour of the Tyskie brewery and you’ll not only find out how one of Poland’s most legendary beers is made, but you’ll get to sample the good stuff for yourself, fresh from the source – the equivalent of drinking the elixir of the Gods directly from the springs of Mount Olympus. In other words, no watered down ales that taste of pipe cleaner for you!
Tour Information
We’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Krakow and drive you direct to the brewery. After a walk around the huge Tyskie vats and some insights into the magical brewing process you’ll then step into the Brewery Museum, where you’ll discover how medieval monks introduced beer to Poland and marvel at ornamental bottles, mugs and barrels followed of course by some more tasting! The tour takes around 2.5 hours, with around 1.5 hours transport time on either side. The journey to the brewery is made in comfortable transport, which collects you from your hotel, and you’ll be able to see some of the fascinating industrial landscapes of Silesia’s mining region along the way.
